R/370z - Reddit I personally would take the Golf R in a heartbeat over a z/z. I've driven all 3 and the Zs just don't do it for me, they are geared short to make them feel faster than they are which just makes it annoying, don't handle as well as they should for their setup and have atrocious brakes.

Golf clubs? - Nissan 370Z Forum - Preferred the interior of the Golf R, love the square steering wheel and everything was nice inside. The z doesn't have a bad interior, I just preferred the golf. The z felt a lot faster than the R.

If you want a hot hatch, Golf R and Corolla GR are amazing, but I think the Elantra N / Veloster N is the to buy.
Nissan 370Z - Wikipedia Definitely the Golf R. You're not going to have huge reliability issues if you keep up with the scheduled mainenance. Not only will it perform better than the or z but it is much more easier to live with, with a MUCH nicer interior and more space than the other two.
